The Indigenous-led Awaeté REDD+ Project is set to become the first project to issue CCP-approved carbon credits under Verra’s new VM0048 methodology, with issuance scheduled for Q1 2026.

Quality Label: CCP; on track for CCB Gold level
Milestone: Under validation for world’s first VM0048 issuance (VCS 5200)
